NEVER GOOD ENOUGH: How to use Perfectionism to Your Advantage Without Letting it Ruin Your LifeI remember how my college friends and I were studying for our exam at the university. Our apartment has never been as clear. Somehow, every time we sit down in my room and wanted to study, we suddenly realized how dirty the place was. Of course, we give priority to cleaning and after our study was to turn.

Obviously, we were procrastinating like hell, but we had to be clean - not something we usually meet.

There is always a big fish
Star Wars in the episode, Jedi Knights are running a submarine through uncharted territory. At some point, a huge fish turns and threatens to destroy ships. Just before the monster our Jedis, hits an even bigger fish displays and dangerous animal eats. Full and happy, big fish disappears.

Master Qui-Gon Jinn at the event with words Jedi comments: "Well, there's always a bigger fish."

Regardless of what you like the movie, there is always a bigger fish. For every task you are procrastinating, I'm sure one more thing you are dreading. You do not want to clean your house, but you would rather clear from the study. You do not want to write the next blog post, but you'd prefer in the end the appointment with your dentist to.

Quick and Dirty
Use this effect to your advantage! Whenever you feel that you are procrastinating over a certain kind of work, think of something worse. Then, put that on top of your list. In no time, you'll find yourself working on new procrastinating - the work you were originally on the acting by procrastinating.

Of course, this technique is one of a quick and dirty way. The psychological delay will not solve the underlying issues. However, if you have a solution that is fast and easy, this little trick will do the job better than anything else would be needed.
